He worked for Moran Coal Company, WRI and Westvaco Corporation, retiring in 2000 as a hydro-pulper operator.

John was a warm smiling, goofy grinning, quietly joking, smart, mechanical, hungry man and an amazingly loving husband and father. John brought his wife coffee every morning and made a pizza every Friday and any time his kids or family were visiting. College and Morris Harvey College and was a retired Math Teacher from Marsh Fork Junior High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and of the National Education Association. She liked to fish with her grandson Jacob at the lake house in Mount Storm. She was blessed in having wonderful neighbors and enjoyed passing time on her back porch visiting with her friends June Virts, and Alan and Barbara Whetzel.

She was able to travel to Europe and Ireland within the last few years with her daughter’s family. She was such a joy to be around, and we will forever miss her bright presence with us. Sally and a neighbor started their own business in the late 1980’s, The Paint N Paper Dolls, for interior painting and wallpapering. They enjoyed working together and loved what they did. Sally and Ted had their first child, Brad in Morgantown, WV where Ted was attending WVU. They moved to Santa Maria, CA, and had two more children, Mark and Stacey.
